KML file format is used in displaying geographic data in an earth browser like Google maps and Google earth. Tag based structures are case sensitive and must appear exactly as listed in KML reference. The reference is for indication of the optional tags. The simplest type of KML documents are authored directly by Google earth and one doesn’t need to edit or create them.
